that I don't like inking.  So I think I'm not gonna do it anymore.  Inking is for chumps.

Seriously, it's my least favorite part of the whole arting process.  Besides the fact that it's a pain in the ass to do, I'm almost never actually satisfied with how it comes out in the end.  Both traditional and digital inking have left me annoyed and dispirited and blah.

And I dunno, I think my traditional pencils with computer colors don't really look all that bad.  I could just call it my "style" or whatever, and then claim that anyone who doesn't like it just isn't "getting" it or whatever, thus staving off my own deep-seated feelings of inadequacy for at least one more day.

The other option would probably be to get someone else to ink my pictures for me, but folks probably wouldn't want to do that for free, and I'm pretty sure slavery is still illegal.  Catching someone and forcing them to be an inking slave sounds like too damn much work anyway, and I am inherently lazy.  Another possible reason why I don't like inking, perhaps.

So.  That's that.  No more inking.  Probably.  We'll see.

Not a fan of inking either, but its a necessary evil. If anything doing it for myself has taught me to appreciate professional inkers.

Pshaw. Your Burnout pic looks great without the inking, in my opinion. I bypassed inking in my earlier stuff, but at the same time I was using the "burn" tool in Photoshop to darken the lines... needless to say that a lot of those works look pretty sloppy because I wasn't using completely opaque layers at the time, but no biggie. Anywho, point is that if you still want dark lines without wanting to go in and ink 'em, you could always try the burn tool method and see how that looks in the end. But if you don't, you still obviously have folks who enjoy your works regardless of the line-work. ;P

I think if I am gonna stick with just the pencils, I might should probably start working on a fully pencil-based style instead of the simplistic thing I've got going now. Hmmmmmmmmm.

Whatever style you wanna go with is totally cool. We know your stuff's gonna be badass regardless, anyway. :D
